Twenties era is roaring back in fashion

Where a few designers are focusing on introducing new styles, international fashion guru’s like Karl Lagerfeld and Elie Saab are bringing the golden era back with their designs. The trend started with TV shows Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire, which continued to enthral fashion enthusiasts inthe Paris Haute Couture 2012. The fashion from the 1920’s is raving in design of a number of popular designers. Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Milly and Tory Burch were just a few of the names who looked back to the romance of the decade. Besides these designers Coco Chanel, Burberry and Elie Saab also tracked the golden era for their attires.All these designers had a few key pieces that embraced their styles. If there is one appearance that describes the era, it has to be the flapper dress. It became popular around 1926, andwaswell defined by petite hemlines, loose skirts, boxy silhouettes and a flattened chest.To get the look, go for simple outlines that fall just above your knee and look for vital detailing like fringing and dropletwork. This can be a perfect fit this party season. As the derby is around the corner, the 1920’s classic cloche hats are also making an appearance on the runway. TV shows like Downtown Abbey sparking a trend for the hat. Christian Dior models also embraced the runway wearing the headgear. Of course, no runway look is complete without a worthy hairstyle. The 1920’s inspired sharp chic bob, and light finger waves was a favorite this season.
